SMS Communications and Alerts
By opting in to receive SMS messages from Counterpoint, you agree to the following terms:
- Program Description: You will receive automated messages regarding your casting application status, interview scheduling, and reminders for upcoming Counterpoint episodes.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your application status and episode filming schedules.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
- Opt-Out: You may opt-out of the SMS program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After sending STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your device.
- Support: For assistance or more information, reply HELP to any message you receive.
- Carrier Liability: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Counterpoint Casting Portal (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. Counterpoint reserves the right to update these terms at any time.
2. Guest Participation & Casting
Submitting an interest form does not guarantee participation in any episode of Counterpoint. Casting decisions are made at the sole discretion of the Counterpoint production team.
- All potential guests must be 18 years of age or older.
- Guests are responsible for their own travel and logistics unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Final selection is contingent upon the execution of a formal Guest Reservation Agreement.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including text, logos, graphics, and software, is the property of Counterpoint and its affiliates (Counterpoint LLC, Noia Media LLC, Ryan Price LLC).
By participating in a Counterpoint production, you grant Counterpoint the irrevocable right to use your name, image, voice, and likeness in connection with the production, promotion, and distribution of the episode in all media worldwide.
4. User Conduct
Users agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information.
- Use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems.
5. Third-Party Services & Advertising Technologies
Our Site uses third-party services to operate and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. By using the Site, you acknowledge the following:
- Meta Pixel & Conversions API: We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to track certain interactions on our Site — including page views, form submissions, and seat reservations — for the purpose of measuring our advertising campaigns. Certain data, including hashed personal identifiers and technical identifiers, may be shared with Meta as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Twilio: We use Twilio to send and receive SMS messages. Your phone number and consent status may be stored and processed by Twilio in accordance with their own privacy policy.
- Firebase / Google: Our Site is hosted on Firebase (Google LLC). Usage data, authentication records, and submitted form data are stored in Google's cloud infrastructure.
Each third-party service operates under its own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the data practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their policies independently.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind. Counterpoint does not guarantee that the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Counterpoint, its members, officers, or employees be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Site or participation in any production.
